Let the LOVE Flow
I love February; it’s my birthday month (YES, I like to celebrate all month)! But seriously, this is the perfect month to reflect on how we love and take care of ourselves. I was coaching a client the other day and asked what she does for self-care, you know, to fill your cup so you can do it for others? She immediately responded, “wine with my girlfriends.” When I asked what else, she didn’t have an answer.
Self-care, self-love, perhaps there are a few other labels, but whatever you call it, this can be difficult to name and claim. As humans and as women, we might not always prioritize taking care of ourselves. We’ve heard this for years, but how do we do this? Where do we even start? (don’t worry, I can help!)
I believe there’s no one way or right way. Loving myself ebbs and flows from 30-day health challenges to daily mantras. Sometimes my self-talk is confident, positive, and full of love and kindness. Other times NOT! This requires me to be extremely vulnerable and pause and listen to what this might be revealing. In some spaces, that’s my jam, but I’m learning that’s not true in all areas of my life.
For me, this is a lifelong process, and a few tools that help me are gratitude, yoga, meditation, and a coach to support my flow. Yoga helps me get into my body and out of my head. Meditation helps soften the chatter. I’ve been truly blessed to learn from some amazing guides along the way. Friends who help remind me to connect my feet to the earth when I need to feel more grounded or practice yoga to know that I’m never stuck. If you’re curious, check out the Insight Timer App; some of my favorites for guided meditation are Sarah Blondin and Tara Brach. I also love sharing my WOOSH template with clients to support success - DM me for more details.
In this month surrounded with hearts, how are you LOVING yourself? I can help you answer those questions, support you in building an actionable plan, and find your flow.
