Transitions are an important

I’m sure like many, you’ve thought about changing jobs, switching careers or trying to figure out how to follow your passion and pay the bills. With the great resignation well underway, you are not alone. During the longest day of the year, if you’re finding yourself thinking or dreaming about what could be…a coach could help support you with a positive transition!

A career coach can help you from start to finish, especially the sticky spots in-between.  When talking with my clients, I always start with the Gallup Strengthsfinder Assessment. This tool gives my clients the framework to talk about their strengths, identify past experiences where they leveraged their strengths and identify opportunities to apply those skills. I help my clients make the connections between their experiences and the job for which they’re applying. I help refine resumes and cover letters to help my clients stand out in the pool of applicants. Through this process, I help my clients develop a career plan where they determine possible positions or organizations to work for, individualize their resume and cover letter, leverage their network of influence and transition to their next career.

Once my clients have secured an interview, I support my clients with interview preparations. We role-play and practice interviewing and also draft a list of questions to ask the hiring organizations. Then I support my clients to find a work environment that aligns with their strengths and passions. It might be the perfect job but the office culture might not be a great fit and I help clients discern so they are successful stepping into a new role. I also help my clients with salary negotiations and own their worth.

If you want to talk through any of these processes to see what’s out there for you, build a powerful resume or chart your path to what’s next, reach out!
